Nadia Soliman - Modern Artist
Nadia , at age 5 started travelling the world as a daughter of an Egyptian Diplomat , from coast to coast, living for several years in 9 different countries around the globe, a bright intellectual upbringing sought to seed her passion of the arts.
Learning five different languages, Spanish, Italian, French, English and Arabic and being exposed to so many different cultures had a huge impact on her artistic perspective.
Starting her career in 1985 as a school teacher, then gradually turning to Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising by introducing establishing and setting up the first subscriber pay tv in the Arab World. Succeeding in the business world career, while becoming a mother to four successful children at a very young age , less than thirty years of age . Nadia found a passion in film production and worked in many major film projects such as award winning feature film Adams Way ( Golden Globes foreign Film , and All Categories Oscars 2005) and many others. Moreover No The Film A Documentary Award winning film was a masterpiece for set design, advertising and International Film Festival winner was one of her greatest achievements in 2010/2011.
Immigrating to Canada was her turning point in life as it occoured amidst the Egyptian Spring Revolution 2010, starting again in a new country, and becoming a Canadian Citizen was a great accomplishment and achievement, In 2014, Nadia Started working with the TDSB, while freelancing as an interpreter, volunteering with the elderly and perservering her career as an artist. Freelancing as an Interpreter for asylum seekers and refugees brought many emotional human stories and Nadia as an artist stored them in her heart and some can be felt in her 2020 Art collection.
In 2014 Nadia was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, since then she has been challenging the pain by Art therapy healing. Nadias colour psychology approach inspires her creative talent and releases expression seen and noted in her artistic skills.
Nadia is the granddaughter of the Late Egyptian Award winning potter , painter, teacher, sculptor Said El Sadr who was her Mentor in her Art
